Data Protection Act
​
Therapists are required to keep client details on file for 10 years, they may be kept as a hard copy or on a secure computer.
This information will be kept secure as per your therapists governing body guidelines on client security. You are entitled to a copy of these details whilst kept by the therapist, in concordance with the Data Protection Act.
There is a £20.00 per page copy for this service.

General Date Protection Regulation (UK / EU)

Your personal details will be retained by Private Therapy London ltd for statuary reasons, and will not be shared with a third party for any reason whilst protected and in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

Confidentiality
​
All communications which take place during therapy are confidential, subject to certain provisions; therapists are not at liberty to withhold information from the police. Your therapist is required by law to inform the authorities if you or a member of the public is a risk.
Parts of your conversation may be referred to during supervision, a requirement for registered therapists, although your name or any identifying details would not be disclosed.
